At StandUp for Kids – San Diego, we believe every homeless youth deserves a chance at a better future. Since 1990, we have been a source of hope, offering safety, support, and the resources needed to transform lives.

How We Help

We are dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by homeless youth in San Diego through our comprehensive programs:

Outreach Drop-In Center

Our drop-in center is a safe haven where youth experiencing homelessness can find respite and resources. Here, they can enjoy a meal, shower, do laundry, and access job search assistance. It’s more than just a place; it’s a community where they can feel supported and valued.

Street Outreach

Our volunteers hit the streets, meeting youth where they are – in parks, cars, and other hidden locations. We provide life-saving resources, immediate care, and build trust to guide them towards our services.

Mentoring

We pair youth with compassionate mentors who help them navigate life’s challenges, develop essential life skills, and build a path towards self-sufficiency.

Housing Support

We assist young adults in securing both temporary and permanent housing. This includes rental assistance, furnishings, and ongoing support to ensure they have a stable and safe environment to call home.
