StandUp For Kids will kick off its annual “48 Hours” outreach and community awareness events. Outreach where trained volunteers walk the streets, parks, alleys, abandoned buildings and other squatting areas in search of kids in need. The event will start on Friday, April 28 – Sunday, April 30, 2017.
During these 48 hours, homeless youth will be provided hot meals, a place to shower, clothing, medical attention and other support services and other support services. In additional to searching and aiding teens during this two-day period, some of our program will also conduct fund-raising activities to raise money and collect donations-in-kind to better serve its deeds.
One of the most important and rewarding aspects of “48 Hours” for our kids are the social activities that take place – events such as concerts, sporting events, picnics, movies, special guests, cookouts, etc.
For over 26 years StandUp For Kids has been a consistent resource for at-risk and homeless youth. These teens escaped abusive environments and need help. Our programs and volunteers nationwide provide immediate assistance and a network of services to move and influence homeless youth towards self-sustaining, productive lives based in a safe home of their own.
