The JCPenney of Westminster came together to help us give five of our kids the opportunity to get the everyday necessities they need. Lori, the JCPenney general manager, loved our mission and received a $1,000 grant from corporate to help our kids. We honored T’keyah, Don, Tyler, Shea and Alyssa from our Orange County chapter and each of them were given $200 to shop for what they need while trying to get back on their feet.
“It means the world to me that people are so compassionate that they can give back to the world because there are not a lot of people who are this helpful” – T’keyah, StandUp For Kids – Orange County
Each of them were paired with associates to help them navigate through the store while they bought shoes and clothes to help them reach their goals. While shopping, you could see the excitement on their faces. Whether it be everyday clothes, gym clothes or interview clothes, JCPenney helped them take one more step toward success. We are thankful to the JCPenney team for helping our kids and our team for showing them the support they need.
