StandUp for Kids – Chicago has enjoyed annual golf outings since the mid 2000’s.
Shotgun starts, competitive games on select greens and a Hole in One contest.
There was plenty of food and drink, live music, raffles, silent auction, and at times casino gaming at the 19th hole. Rain or shine, everyone had a fun time and funded our street outreach programs. A lot changed during the COVID 19 Pandemic, access to golf courses were restricted which led to low attendance and sponsors.
Enter 2024, the beginning of Chicago Chapter Annual Indoor Golf Outing. Hosted at The Shack Indoor Golf Club, an interactive golf club designed for year-round, all-weather, day or night golf play and sports action located in Glenview Illinois, Guests and Donors played simulated golf on many championship courses, and had lessons with a PGA golf pro. For weeks after the event, attendees commented on how their game was improved. Food, beverages, awesome raffles with Bettinardi clubs, golf accessories and more.
Good people and indoor golf established a sensible event, planning another for the fall season.
